Turkmen-Japanese online seminar on natural gas utilization.
On May 21, in Ashgabat, in the building of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, a Turkmen-Japanese online seminar was held, at which issues of natural gas utilization, renewable energy sources, and the Green Growth Strategy were discussed. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, as well as representatives of state organizations of Turkmenistan.
During the seminar, reports by E. Uehara “Green Growth Strategy” and Yu. Okagaki “The Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Meeting” and “New Strategic Roadmap for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells” were made.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan Gurbanmuhammet Elyasov, as well as Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdy Jepbarov spoke on behalf of Turkmenistan. During the speech, the great importance of renewable energy sources for the environment, improving the structure of the energy system, diversifying energy sources, improving the social and living conditions of the population was emphasized, as well as opportunities for international partnership in the development of renewable energy in Turkmenistan.
